Acting Governor Ricardo Couto will focus his efforts on the Department of Motor Vehicles (Detran) starting tomorrow. He is expected to dismiss the head of the agency, Delegate Rodrigo Dias Coelho, this Friday.
Subsequently, there will be a change of leadership in all directorates. The trend is towards a linear cut in positions considered strategic.
On Thursday, Rodrigo was informed by Guanabara Palace that he would be leaving his post as part of the restructuring promoted by the interim governor. His dismissal will be published in the Official Gazette this Friday.
The most likely candidate to assume the position is Colonel Carlos Eduardo da Costa Sarmento, former Chief of Staff of the PMERJ (Military Police of Rio de Janeiro).
