The government of the State of Rio de Janeiro is announcing this week 2.410 opportunities for formal employment, internships, and apprenticeships, collected by the State Secretariat of Labor and Income. The vacancies are distributed across different regions of the state and cover various levels of education and areas of expertise.
Through the National Employment System (Sine), 1.030 job openings with formal employment contracts are available in the Metropolitan, Serrana, Sul Fluminense, and Médio Paraíba regions. For those seeking internships or apprenticeship opportunities, the Center for Company-School Integration (CIEE) offers 1.380 positions.
The metropolitan region concentrates 82,2% of formal job opportunities, with 847 vacancies, 41 of which are exclusively for people with disabilities (PwD). For this group, there are opportunities for positions such as administrative assistant, store operator, and security guard, with salaries that can reach R$ 3.242. Also in the region, there are vacancies for general competition with remuneration of up to three minimum wages (R$ 4.863), such as truck driver, in addition to higher-paying positions, such as pharmacy manager, with salaries of up to R$ 6.484.
In the Médio Paraíba region, 64 job openings were identified in the cities of Valença, Vassouras, Volta Redonda, and Barra Mansa, with an average salary of one minimum wage. In the Sul Fluminense region, there are 19 opportunities in Paty de Alferes, with salaries up to two minimum wages for the position of cashier. In the Serrana region, the 100 available positions are concentrated in Teresópolis, with salaries between one and two minimum wages for roles such as kitchen assistant, head chef, and general services worker.
Data from the Labor Observatory indicates that most formal job openings are in the Services (63,3%) and Commerce (36,7%) sectors. The majority of employers require a completed primary education (48,9%), prior experience (81,1%), and offer salaries of up to two minimum wages (64,6%).
