Witnesses claim that, after the musician left, two men who were with him continued arguing with customers at another table. Diogo Coutinho do Couto allegedly attacked one of those present. Nicholas Guedes Coppi is identified as the one who threw a bottle at the victim. One of the men who was hit told police that he needed seven stitches in his head.

In a statement to the newspaper O Globo, the singer denied throwing any object at employees or customers. He stated that he was intoxicated and that he only threw the chair on the floor. "Nothing was thrown at anyone. The security cameras can prove that," he said.
The case was registered at the 15th Police Station (Gávea). "Agents are analyzing security camera footage and carrying out other investigations to ascertain the facts," the Civil Police reported.
