Lawyer Selma Elizabeth Blum was removed from the courtroom of the Jury Court, this Wednesday (28), during the trial of the Henry Borel case, in Rio de Janeiro. The decision was made by Judge Elizabeth Machado Louro after suspicion that the professional was observing notes taken by the jurors throughout the session.
The removal took place around 15:40 PM and was carried out by a military police officer. Prior to the order, the judge had already warned the lawyer that she would be removed if she was seen again accompanying the material used by the jurors during the trial.
Selma Elizabeth Blum denied any wrongdoing and stated that she was in the plenary session only to observe the proceedings, with no connection to the parties involved in the case. According to her, her presence was at the invitation of a prosecutor friend.

The lawyer stated that she would never attempt to access information related to the jurors and said she felt embarrassed by the situation that occurred in the courtroom.
"I would never do that. I honor my profession and the profession of all lawyers. I am here with a prosecutor friend of mine, who is not connected to the parties. I only came to observe the session," he stated.
Selma also denied taking notes or attempting to view any material reserved for the jurors. According to her, the episode was misinterpreted by the judge.
"I thought it was excessive. I was humiliated and I didn't deserve to go through that," the lawyer declared after leaving the courtroom.
The Henry case session continues with reports of violence.
The trial in the Henry Borel case entered its fourth day with new testimonies involving accusations of violence attributed to former city councilman Jairinho.
During the session, children of ex-girlfriends recounted episodes of physical aggression. A woman who had a relationship with Jairinho also claimed to have been drugged and raped by the former congressman.
The Henry Borel case continues to be closely followed by the public due to the national repercussions of the accusations surrounding the boy's death, which occurred in 2021.
