A brief stint at two law firms during the election campaign and the transition to his government in 2018 earned the ousted governor, Wilson Witzel, more than R$ 900. This information comes from Ítalo Nogueira of Folha de S.Paulo.


The amount was used to justify a donation that Witzel made to his own campaign of R$ 215. In the asset declaration submitted to the court, the suspended governor had not reported having money in a bank account before the start of the election campaign.

This Saturday (30), after the operation that removed him from office, Witzel offered a third version for the transfers. He stated that everything was paid only after the victorious 2018 campaign.
