Deputy Majority Leader, Congressman Lucas Vergílio, criticized this Wednesday (27) Solange Vieira, an ally of Paulo Guedes, who said it was “good that deaths [from Covid-19] are concentrated in the elderly, as it would help to resolve the Brazilian pension deficit”. Vergílio said that the minister’s silence on the case “is very disturbing”.
"We are also deeply disturbed by Minister Paulo Guedes' silence. Even though he is a 70-year-old man, he should have reprimanded his superintendent. The most regrettable thing is that Mr. Paulo Guedes has so far not issued any reprimands, as if he agreed with the Susep superintendent's prejudiced statement."
