Douglas Ruas gathers more than 800 supporters and intensifies his agenda in Northern Rio de Janeiro State.

Pre-candidate for Governor of the State fulfilled his agenda in Macaé and Carapebus and met with leaders and residents of the region.

Douglas Ruas intensified his political agenda in Northern Rio de Janeiro this Friday (29), with a series of commitments in Macaé and Carapebus. The state deputy met with leaders, visited infrastructure works and participated in meetings with residents to discuss demands aimed at regional development.

The main event took place in Macaé, where more than 800 people participated in a meeting held at the city's training center. The event was promoted at the invitation of state representative Chico Machado and also included the presence of pre-candidate for federal deputy Renato Araújo.

During the meeting, Douglas Ruas highlighted initiatives aimed at strengthening the local economy, focusing on job creation and public safety. The legislator emphasized the strategic importance of Macaé to the state of Rio de Janeiro, especially due to the relevance of the oil and gas industry and the offshore services chain established in the municipality.

While still in Macaé, Douglas Ruas visited the Deputado Cláudio Moacyr de Azevedo Bridge, a project executed during his tenure as head of the State Secretariat for Cities. Considered one of the main urban mobility interventions in the region, the structure benefits thousands of drivers daily and has contributed to significantly reducing travel time in the city.

The congressman also monitored the progress of interventions in the Malvinas neighborhood, reinforcing the importance of infrastructure investments for economic growth and improving the quality of life for the population.

“I don’t visit cities every four years, so I’m here today to see the transformation we’ve implemented in Macaé’s urban mobility with the completion of the Deputado Cláudio Moacyr bridge. With the reduced travel time, people can have more time to spend with their families, take care of their health, and exercise. The interior of the state holds a large place in my heart, and we will continue fighting for the development of Macaé and the entire North Fluminense region, strengthening public safety and expanding job opportunities in a region that is strategic for the state’s economy,” he stated.

Meeting with leaders in Carapebus

The agenda continued in Carapebus, where Douglas Ruas participated in a meeting with supporters and political leaders alongside Mayor Bernard Tavares. During the meeting, they discussed the municipality's needs and projects considered strategic for local development.

Next, the congressman visited the road resurfacing works in the Ubás neighborhood. The interventions cover approximately three kilometers of paving and are part of a set of improvements aimed at the city's urban infrastructure.

Douglas Ruas's visit to Northern Rio de Janeiro strengthened his ties with regional leaders and marked another stage in his agenda of visits to the state's interior, focusing on infrastructure projects, economic development, and direct interaction with the population.
