A pileup involving a truck and 11 vehicles left at least two people injured on Linha Amarela, near Avenida Geremário Dantas, in Freguesia, West Zone of Rio, this Monday (1st).
The collision occurred near exit 1B, heading towards Barra da Tijuca. Due to the accident, two lanes had to be closed, causing traffic jams and congestion along the road. The lane was reopened around 12:12 PM.

Two men suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene, without needing to be taken to hospitals.
Transit
According to the Rio Operations Center, traffic heading towards Barra was temporarily interrupted from the toll plaza to allow for the handling of the incident and the removal of the vehicles involved. Lamsa and Fire Department teams worked at the scene.
As an alternative route to the affected section, drivers were advised to take the Grajaú-Jacarepaguá Highway and access the Gabinal Road.
