Child rape in São Paulo: police arrest fourth teenager and expand investigation.

The 15-year-old teenager was located at his aunt's house, near the crime scene. The investigation points to lure him with promises of play and warns of the crime by publicizing the rape footage.

The São Paulo Civil Police apprehended on Monday (4) the fourth teenager suspected of involvement in a case of sexual violence against two children, aged 7 and 10, in the capital of São Paulo. The case, which is still under investigation, already has three minors and one adult detained.

The 15-year-old teenager was located at his aunt's house, near the crime scene, and taken to the police station to give a statement. After being questioned, he was sent to a juvenile detention center, where he remains in custody.

According to authorities, the suspects confessed to participating in the crime. The victims were reportedly lured with an invitation to fly kites, but were taken to a residence where the abuse occurred.

Images and investigation highlight the seriousness of the situation.

Police reported that the crime was recorded on video, which aggravated the situation and broadened the scope of the investigation. The material was allegedly produced by one of those involved and subsequently shared.

The adult identified in the case, Alessandro Martins dos Santos, 21, was arrested in Bahia. He is accused of filming the crime and sending the images to third parties. In addition to the charge of rape of a vulnerable person, he may face charges of corruption of minors and disseminating content related to the crime.

Police are now investigating whether others are involved and whether the material was shared on a larger scale.

Warning about content sharing.

Authorities emphasize that sharing such images constitutes a serious crime. According to the police chief in charge of the case, Júlio Geraldo, anyone who shares the content can be held responsible.

"All acts that expose these children are being monitored by the police, and those who disseminated acts of pedophilia can indeed be held accountable," he stated.

He also warned of the legal consequences.

"Sharing acts of pedophilia is a crime. We ask that people be very aware and not share this type of video."

Accountability and next steps

The investigation is ongoing, focusing on identifying all those involved and holding the suspects criminally responsible. Authorities are also monitoring the situation of the victims, prioritizing protective measures.

The case has mobilized specialized teams and reinforces the warning about crimes committed against children and adolescents, as well as the risks associated with the circulation of illegal content on social media.
