An example of Italian gastronomy, the award-winning Grado restaurant in Jardim Botânico also demonstrated ethical correctness today. It closed its doors indefinitely. It was the first establishment—among Rio's renowned restaurants—to voluntarily make the decision. On social media, chef Nello Garaventa said goodbye: "Through good times and bad, I've never lost my zest for life. Grado is temporarily closing so we can meet again as soon as possible."
