Economy Minister Paulo Guedes said on Tuesday (11) that the aides who advise President Jair Bolsonaro to “break” the spending cap rule are taking the president to an impeachment zone.

Without naming names, Guedes defended the spending cap (a rule that limits the growth of federal spending) and stated that the Ministry of Economy does not support “ceiling-breaking ministers.”
"The president's advisors who are advising us to jump the fence and break the ceiling will lead the president into a dark zone, a zone of impeachment, of fiscal irresponsibility. The president knows this; the president has supported us," the minister stated.
