Historian Thiago Gomide is a highlight of the Santa Rita Literary Fair.

The Santa Rita Literary Fair, in Beco das Sardinhas, will feature historian Thiago Gomide in this Saturday's edition (09). The monthly event brings together authors, readers and publishers in a free program in downtown Rio, which combines debates, launches and cultural activities.

Thiago Gomide will give a lecture on Rio de Janeiro stories and hold a book signing session. It's in History Brazil (Ed. Globo). The fair will also feature the international participation of South African writer Zukiswa Wanner, who will talk to the public about her book. Madames at the table “Why argue with madam?”.

The program also includes the meeting "Reading Books to Read the World," aimed at educators, the poetry presentation "Word, Struggle, and Affection," with Cleyton Mendes, and the panel "Pages of Freedom," with Julinho da Glória and Sagat B. All activities are free.

The new event will be the “Workshop: Exploring Corpo de Baile”, with Braulio Tavares, who will give a commentary on the seven novellas that make up this fundamental work by Guimarães Rosa. Registration, which includes a free beer from the Ibéricos restaurant in Beco das Sardinhas, is limited and must be done by calling 21 98816-7955.
