Madureira Shopping will host workshops and a free Charme Dance party.

Sunday's event features dance classes and a musical program inspired by Rio de Janeiro's Black culture.

Madureira Shopping is hosting a special program focused on Rio's black culture this Sunday (31), with free passinho workshops and another edition of the traditional Baile Charme do Madu.

The activities begin even before the official opening of the ball. On the 3rd floor of the shopping mall, visitors can participate in free workshops in a themed space inspired by the famous Madureira Viaduct, a historical landmark of the "charme" dance parties in Rio de Janeiro.

The idea is to teach classic steps of the "charme" dance and prepare the audience to get into the rhythm of the party, which takes place from 17 pm on the 4th floor of the building.

Suburb represented

The event will be hosted by DJ Vig and is part of the Música no Madu project, a free musical program held on Sundays at the shopping mall. The initiative brings together rhythms strongly linked to the suburbs of Rio de Janeiro, such as charme, samba, and funk.

Beyond entertainment, the project aims to strengthen the community's sense of belonging and to promote Madureira as one of the city's main cultural hubs.
