Rio restaurants that didn't survive the pandemic

A survey by the State Bars and Restaurants Union (SindRio), revealed by Veja, shows the bars and restaurants in Rio that did not resist the crisis and closed their activities definitively: Bar Leo, two Ráscal units (CasaShopping and Rio-Sul), Laguiole Lab, Puro Jardim Botânico), Aconhego Carioca (Leblon), the Yeasteria brewery, the Zuka restaurant (Leblon) and Espirito Santa.

In a statement, Companhia Tradicional de Comércio, which manages the Astor bar in Ipanema and two Bráz Pizzaria locations in Jardim Botânico and Barra da Tijuca, stated that the establishments have ceased operations. According to the company, 22 employees were laid off from the Barra da Tijuca location and another 44 were terminated from the Astor bar.
