The Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj) will transfer the plenary session this Wednesday (06) to Tiradentes Palace, in downtown Rio, in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the historic building. The change was announced this Tuesday (05) by deputy Tia Ju (Republicanos), while presiding over the work in the plenary.
The meeting is scheduled for 15 pm and is part of the activities commemorating the centenary of the space, which was the former headquarters of the Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly and is considered a landmark in the state's political history.
Announcement during session
During the session, Tia Ju informed the parliamentarians of the change of venue and emphasized the symbolic nature of the initiative. "Tomorrow, the session will be held at the Tiradentes Palace, in commemoration of the centenary of our Palace, a historic stage for our democracy that is part of history," she stated.
The congresswoman also highlighted the importance of the date and asked the teams to ensure the presence of parliamentarians at the new location. In addition to the session, the program includes a tribute to the centenary and the launch of a commemorative stamp.
