The uncritical defenders of Lava Jato, those who consider Deltan Dalagnol, Sérgio Moro and other Lava Jato supporters to be demigods of the Judiciary, what will they say now? The 2nd Panel of the STF decided this Tuesday (4) that the plea bargain of former minister Antonio Palocci cannot be used in the criminal action against former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) that is being processed in the 13th Federal Court of Curitiba.
The inclusion in the case file occurred six days before the first round of the 2018 presidential election and, according to Justices Gilmar Mendes and Ricardo Lewandowski, was intended to create a political event in that year's election. The clearly fabricated fact received extensive coverage on Jornal Nacional and other corporate media outlets, as if they were practicing journalism, not disinformation.
Today, the panel ruled that then-judge Sergio Moro's decision to include Palocci's collaboration in the case files investigating whether Odebrecht donated land for the construction of the Lula Institute as a bribe was illegal.
