Contrary to what was previously reported, Superior Court of Justice Justice Benedito Gonçalves' response to the Alerj (Rio de Janeiro State Legislative Assembly) request to share evidence against Governor Wilson Witzel does not mention the alleged involvement of state representatives in the investigations. Gonçalves denied sending information to the impeachment committee solely to avoid jeopardizing the ongoing investigations. This position was also supported by the Federal Public Prosecutor's Office, which considered it premature to share evidence at a time when the evidence is still being analyzed by the Federal Police and there are pending investigations.

The Federal Public Ministry, when commenting on the request, stated that Alerj can request from the State Health Department itself a copy of the administrative procedures, contracts and payments, in addition to information on the processes that are being processed in the first instance in the State and Federal Courts on the matter.
