An abandoned suitcase near the building housing the Ministries of Culture and the Environment triggered a security operation on Wednesday that led to the closure of part of the Esplanade of Ministries in Brasília. The incident mobilized teams from the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF) and generated moments of apprehension among employees working at the site.
The suspicion that the object might contain an explosive device led authorities to take preventative measures while the situation was being analyzed.
