The State Audit Court suspended all payments from the State Health Department to the social organization Iabas, the target of the operation against fraud in Health, on Tuesday (26).
The Social Organization Instituto de Atenção Básica e Avançada à Saúde (IABAS) was contracted by the Rio de Janeiro state government to build seven field hospitals in the state to combat the novel coronavirus. The organization was one of the targets of Operation Placebo, launched by the Federal Police.
