An employee of the Âncora Matias bus company died on Friday morning (29) after being run over inside the company's garage, located in the Engenho de Dentro neighborhood, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro.
The victim was identified as Jacqueline Azevedo de Carvalho, who worked in the company's administrative department. The accident occurred around 10:00 AM when a bus was maneuvering in the garage yard.
Accident under investigation.
According to preliminary information, employees who were at the scene heard a loud noise and ran to check what had happened. Upon arriving at the area where the accident occurred, they found Jacqueline already lifeless.
The circumstances that led to the accident are still unclear. An investigation was carried out in the garage to assist in determining the facts.
The case is being investigated by the 26th Police Precinct (Todos os Santos), which is seeking to determine the causes of the accident and identify whether there were operational failures or other factors that contributed to the tragedy.
